Biography
Miles Lujan is a trumpeter, composer, and educator from Denver, CO, currently living in New York. He is pursuing a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance at NYU Steinhardt and received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2018. With a strong foundation in jazz music, Miles embraces a boundaryless approach to genre as both a trumpet player and artist.
While in college, Miles had the opportunity to perform with Tia Fuller, Greg Osby, Vincent DiMartino, Greg Gisbert, Jeff Coffin, Stan Sulzmann, Ernie Watts, Paa Kow, and others. After graduating from CU Boulder, he became an active member of the Denver music scene, performing with members of Lettuce, ODESZA, Big Gigantic, DJ Williams’ Shots Fired, Late Night Radio, and The Motet.
In 2019, Lujan was selected from an international pool of musicians to tour Europe with the JM Jazz World Orchestra. The group collaborated with some of the world’s finest conductors and soloists, performing at renowned venues and jazz festivals across the Western Balkans.
